About Project
Client: Scott Fossel
Subject: Cosmological Model and Interface
Period: 2004
The Mandapa project is a transmedia experiment in modeling consciousness, and architecting a new world perspective. The 3-dimensional model is a conceptual synthesis combining the theories of Ken Wilbur’s Quadrant model (AQAL), Stanislov Grof’s Basic Parinatal Matrixes (BPMs), and Tielhard de Chardin’s evolutionary model into an integrated, interactive conceptual framework, and manifold of archetypal morphologies in space and time.
My Task
Contributed conceptual development of philosophical and representational modeling. Conducted visual design, 3D modeling, interaction design, interface design, programming, and print design for transmedia representations of website, Flash interface model, archetypal modeling, business cards, and print poster.
Result
The model was presented in Auroville India, at a live multimedia archetypal performance at the California Institute of Integral Studied (CIIS) in San Francisco CA, and at the International Transpersonal Association conference in Palm Springs, CA.
