EarthScope is a project of the Buckminster Fuller Institute (BFI), and the leading edge of BFI’s SpaceshipEARTH initiative. In coordination with research from Harvard University’s Center for Health and the Global Environment (CHGE), EarthScope distributed as part of a viral web campaign about alarming losses of biodiversity. This custom version of EarthScope is a “learn more” addition to the “The (Bio) Da Versity Code” Flash Animation.
My Task
I provided visual design, interface design, interaction design, programming, and content integration of the EarthScope application.
Result
The EarthScope interactive and educational map application was a key element in a successfully coordinated viral media campaign bringing greater public awareness to the loss of biological diversity in the global ecological environment.
